Spills happen

Stain removal

Fibre-aware spot and stain assessment, with practical advice about what is removable and what is permanent.

The approach

What matters for this job.

The right response depends on what spilled, what the carpet is made of and what has already been used on it. Some marks are removable soil; others are permanent colour changes.

01

Tell us what happened

The spill, its age and any products already applied all help guide the treatment.

02

Test and treat

Brendan chooses a process for the fibre and the type of stain.

03

Know the limit

We will explain when a patch repair is more realistic than further cleaning.

How we work

Careful work, clear expectations.

If a spill is fresh, blot liquid with a plain white towel and avoid rubbing. For solids, carefully lift what you can without grinding it into the pile.

Avoid mixing household spotters or applying heat. If you can, send a photo and tell us what products have already been tried.

Bleach damage, dye transfer and some old or heat-set stains cannot be reversed by cleaning.
What we can help with
  • Food, drink and everyday marks
  • Spot treatment with or without a full clean
  • Wool and synthetic fibre assessment
  • Clear advice before repeated treatment
